Max Rosvall Välme is the co-founder and Head of AI of Future Fluent. He holds a PhD in Strategic Sustainable Development from Uppsala University (2021 to 2025), where he remains an Associate Researcher in the Department of Civil and Industrial Engineering, focused on quality management. His training spans sustainability, quality management and sociotechnical systems engineering (M.Sc., Uppsala).
At Future Fluent, Max leads the AI and the methodology behind the platform: how greenhouse-gas emissions are calculated, how energy and emissions data is collected, and how the Voluntary Standard (VS, formerly VSME) maps to what stakeholders actually need. Before Future Fluent he advised startups on EU, North American and Japanese market expansion as an independent consultant, and ran field research on decentralized renewable energy with the Selco Foundation in India.
Max writes on emissions accounting, GHG calculation methodology, and the Voluntary Standard.
